Topic: Supplier Performance Management Leading Practices
Supplier performance management (SPM) is a management program and set of processes that define, measure, and collaboratively enhance supplier performance to achieve business goals. An effective SPM strategy can add significant value to most companies’ products in the areas of cost, quality, service, and innovation. Yet, sourcing programs at many companies fail to achieve their full potential due to a lack of attention paid to managing supplier performance after the initial sourcing effort. At this meeting, John Evans of strategic sourcing experts Denali Consulting will share leading practices and practical advice for effective SPM gained from the firm’s work with its many clients. In addition, Consortium member company Brady Corporation will talk about its evolving approach to SPM and what has been learned along the way. Following the presentations, members will exchange insights and tips from their own experiences with SPM.
ROI for your time at this meeting:
- Take away practical knowledge from an expert on improving SPM at your company
- Learn how others have approached their SPM efforts, the challenges encountered, and solutions they found that could benefit your company
- Gain other valuable insights from participating in the discussion and hearing the experiences of other UWEBC member companies

About This Peer Group
Businesses in virtually all industry sectors are working to make their supply chains more efficient. They understand the value of shrinking their inventories, streamlining logistics, improving forecasts, and eliminating costs. As customers demand products faster and look for value-added services that require great flexibility, supply chain leaders must respond by making quicker and better decisions.
The UWEBC Supply Chain Management Peer Group provides the forum that supply chain leaders need to collaborate on the latest trends in supply chain management. At these meetings, member company representatives have the opportunity to meet with industry peers, in a non-commercial environment, to share and discuss best practices across all of the core supply chain processes.
