Information Security & Infrastructure Peer Group
Next meeting August 25. Topic:
Supply Chain Security
Most industries depend on inputs, be they raw materials, subassemblies, or information. Yet when analyzing risk to business, we often forget the threats to our suppliers. Global supply lanes, simplified supplier ecosystems, and just-in-time manufacturing can increase the potential for damage from these threats.
At this meeting we'll examine the process of extending risk management to the supply chains of diverse industries. Bob Radvanovsky will give examples of risks to the information security of supply chains, and suggest systematic ways to reduce them. We'll examine the common information and physical security risks to supply chains that can affect business continuity. We'll try to bridge the gap between supply chain and security professionals with some consensus best practices, and discuss the supply chain security challenges we face in our own companies.
Members of the Supply Chain Management peer group are invited to this meeting of the Information Security and Infrastructure peer group. Register early, as seating is limited.
Lunch will be served. Business casual attire is recommended. Networking time begins at 9:00. Please arrive by 9:20.
Presenter Robert Radvanovsky is VP of Strategic Development and co-founder of Infracritical, and has spent significant time at CENTRAX Corp., United Airlines, Sprint, and IBM. Bob is an active subject matter expert on transportation and control systems in the Comprehensive National Cyber Security Initiative, and is the author of five books on protecting critical infrastructure, transportation security, and related topics. He holds degrees from DePaul University and California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
