RFID Lab

The UW RFID Lab was established in late 2004 to help industry stay competitive through RFID-enabled strategies and practices. The lab is a non-commercial, knowledge-sharing and experimental environment designed to:

  • Provide RFID research, education, and demonstration resources to industry
  • Work with individual companies on sponsored, company-specific research projects
  • Analyze the true capabilities and limitations of RFID technologies
  • Validate the practicality and potential business benefits associated with RFID
  • Understand the keys to successful deployment and adoption of RFID technology applications
  • Gain insight into the future evolution of RFID technologies
